Prof. Meifeng CAI

Professor Meifeng Cai is the academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and is working at University of Science and Technology Beijing as chief academic leader of mining engineering discipline in the University. He is also President of the Commission on Education of International Society for Rock Mechanics and Vice President of Chinese Society for Rock Mechanics and Engineering. He got BE Degree of engineering mechanics in Shanghai Jiao Tong University in 1967, ME Degree of mining engineering in the University of Science and Technology Beijing in 1981, PhD Degree of mining rock mechanics in the University of New South Wales in 1990. He has engaged in teaching and research of rock mechanics and mining engineering for a long time and was awarded 7 National Prizes for “Technical Invention”, “Progress in Science and Technology”, “Teaching Achievement”, respectively. In 2008, 2009, 2010, he was respectively awarded the title of National Great Teacher, National Model Teacher and National Outstanding Worker of Science and Technology.
